Bad Dads 2012

The Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco is holding their third Bad Dads art show, featuring the works of many talented artists inspired by Wes Anderson‘s films. Here are some of my favourites from this year:
There are a ton of prints and originals to choose from in this show, unfortunately, a lot of the prints have already sold out. Have a look and see if your favourite is still available here.
Who else would love to decorate their entire apartment with these fantastic movie posters?

I thoroughly enjoyed this mash up of Wes Anderson scenes, all shot from above in the characters’ first person views. Do you recognize them all?
Also: Did you know there’s a new Wes Anderson movie coming?

Since last year’s show was such a success, the Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco is bringing you another Bad Dads series!
The gallery will feature artwork inspired by Wes Anderson’s adored films from October 29 to November 25. If you’re in town, make sure you swing by to see illustrations influenced by Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Life Aquatic, The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore, and Hotel Chevalier.
Which Wes Anderson movie is your favourite? Mine is probably The Royal Tenenbaums for being such a visual and auditory masterpiece!

Whenever I’m home alone on any night that doesn’t offer good television programming, I get an urge to whip out some Wes Anderson movies and giggle at the same quirks I’ve been giggling at for years now. Now that I’ve stumbled upon these posters by Kevin Tong, in his series “Bad Dads: an art show tribute to the films of Wes Anderson”, tonight is no exception.

Now all I have to decide is: Royal Tenenbaums or Rushmore?
