Working hard to be a real New Yorker

June 11, 2009 § 1 Comment

Tonight I begin working at the McCaig-Welles Gallery in Williamsburg!

I had an interview to be a volunteer at the gallery yesterday and it went well. It’s run mostly by other ladies, who all seem great, and there’s even a cat that lives there! What a score. Tonight we are hosting a live band as part of the Northside Festival.

Hopefully this proves to be a great way to meet interesting people and learn new things. I could even learn how to do custom framing!

In other news, New York is rainy. I’d really like a day of sunshine, ice cream, short skirts, and unbearably warm weather instead of leggings, rainboots, and hot beverages.

Very cool gallery, good score. Your blogs nice to read, I don’t come across good ones very often. Usually really poorly written ones. Nice to meet ya. -Lucky
