My New New York Diary

Two things I love have come together – New York and French director Michel Gondry, alongside cartoonist Julie Doucet – to create an artbook + DVD.

In 2008, Michel Gondry wrote to Julie Doucet to propose that they make a film together. The duo settled on a unique combination of drawing and film that inserts the “real” Julie into her own imagery. This book contains all of Doucet and Gondry’s drawings for the film, which can be read as a complete narrative, and the DVD containing their complete 18-minute film.

$24.95 from Picture Box Inc., just in time for Christmas!
