The Darker Side of Interior Design

British artist James Hopkins has come up with a series of shelf designs, each with a theme, each with items placed strategically to depict the image of a human skull. Here are a few of his creations:

“Black Still Life”

“Wasted Youth”

“Last Days of the Sun”

“Shelf Life”

“Design For Life”

I’m not into the death motif as much as my husband, but I think these are so clever! You can see more here, from the series “Vanitas“.
